Partha Foundation joined the 6th Annual Sustainability Summit organized by the School of
Sustainability, Xavier University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
The theme was “Integrating circular economy with nature-based solutions” and different
speakers and panelists discussed how industries have started integrating circular economy by
taking inspiration from nature led mechanisms.
Rakesh Panda, founder and Managing Director announced the partnership with Xavier
University and Bronx Community City College, CUNY, New York. He also shared his experiences in promoting nature-based solutions worldwide.
Iris Kuhnlein, Associate Director at Partha Foundation participated as panelist in the Nature
Based Solutions discussion, bringing her experience with Syntropic Agroforestry as a
regeneration and income generation solution. She also pointed out some challenges faced by
the reforestation sector in Brazil and how business models need to be updated to also suit
biodiversity preservation concerns
